Linus Ricard

Linus Ricard is a Swedish-born artist, video director, and photographer based in Paris. His work blends a rebellious edge with an understated elegance, shaped by his formative years in Beijing’s 798 Art District, where he lived and exhibited alongside artists like Ai Weiwei. It was there, during a pivotal cultural moment leading up to the 2008 Olympics, that Linus cemented his artistic identity. His first solo exhibition—boldly featuring nudity—was famously shut down by local police, a story that speaks to the provocative, unapologetic spirit woven into his work.

Since relocating to Paris in 2009, Linus has collaborated with brands and publications such as Vogue Paris, Ines de La Fressange, Repetto, and Flaunt Magazine. His photography, marked by a mix of rawness and refined composition, continues to reflect the fearless energy of his early years while evolving within the fashion and art scenes.
