Formal Settings is a Berlin and Copenhagen-based type and graphic design studio creating bold, typographically driven visual communication and publications. Founded in 2014 by Amanda-Li Kollberg and Siri Lee Lindskrog, the studio collaborates with international clients in art and culture, blending Scandinavian minimalism with a global edge. Their work spans projects for MOMENTUM Nordic Biennale, Stiftung Buchkunst, and The Royal Danish Academy, among others.
Known for their thoughtful approach, Amanda-Li and Siri Lee co-authored Notes on Book Design (2023), a globally stocked exploration of book design, and were part of the team behind the Nordic design festival Post Design Festival (2021–2024). In all their graphic work, as well in their talks and workshops, Formal Settings keeps pushing boundaries in contemporary design.
